BIKE RIDE, SATURDAY 12/31

Group Bike Ride at noon Saturday 12/31 meeting at West Gate. The ride will head toward Lake Paradise, giving riders options for various distances up to about 45 miles, more or less. The Temp at Noon is projected to be 46 degrees with a South wind at 15 MPH. We can ride as long or short as we please, stopping at McDonald's if we wish. Please comment if you plan to attend.

BIKE RIDE SUNDAY 12/18.

I am looking to ride tomorrow, Sunday, at 12:30 or so. The wind is SSW 11 MPH, temp is to be 47 degrees. Given my proclivity for flat surfaces, I would like to ride to Lerna and back, perhaps somewhat longer if it feels right. I rode to the last intersection before the south turn to Lerna today and it was very nice. The pace would be moderate (at least for me). I am negotiable (somewhat--no Denali or Stairway please) on the route. We can meet at Westgate, if anyone is interested/available. Please comment if you are interested, so we can plan.

Sunday 12/11 Ride

Here we go again. I am planning on riding tomorrow (Sunday) at 12 noon or 1 pm, thereabouts. I got back this afternoon from a Lerna Ride, and it was pretty nice--due to the fact it was sunny and not very windy. Tomorrow afternoon is supposed to have temps of 37-38 degrees with a South wind at 11 MPH. Riding to Lerna is my plan as of now. Wardrobe for today was woolie boolie sox, overboots, heavy weight tights, 2 layer gloves, three upper body layers, full face balaclava, and skull cap...just right. Any takers? I will post specifics for the ride, if there is any interest. I certainly understand that this is past the reasonable riding limit for most.

Saturday 12/03 RIDE

I am considering a ride tomorrow, probably in the early afternoon (12 or 1 pm) when it is supposed to warm up to about 50 degrees and gradually become more sunny. I am guessing about 20 miles more or less, depending on what interest there may be. I rode this afternoon (reversed Bill's route plus a little more) and it wasn't too cold, as long as the sun was out. Any interest?
